Having performed in several venues such as Club, 100 Club, The Spitz, Nothing Hill Art Guanabara, Vortex jazz and various festivals like the Birmigham International Jazz, Cambridge World Music, City of<b> </b>London<b> </b>and Sardenha s Olbia festival, Menino Josue involves the audience with his poetic lyrics and stage presence.</font></span></font></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><b><span lang="EN-GB">John Crawford<span style="color:#333399"> </span>/ Piano</span></b></font></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span lang="EN-GB">John Crawford was born in London of English/Spanish Parents. He has played at Montreal Jazz Festival (Canada), North Sea Jazz Festival (Holland), Copenhagen Jazz Festival(Denmark), Leverkusener Jazztage (Germany), Flint Jazzfest (USA), Donetsk Jazz Festival (Ukraine), Brecon Jazz Festival (Wales), Old Town Lansing Jazzfest (USA), London Jazz Festival (UK), Coventry Jazz Festival (UK), Ealing Jazz Festival (UK), and Milan Latin Festival (Italy), amongst others.&nbsp; In the world of Latin Music he has a reputation second to none. And his instintive feeling for groove have stood him in good stead in the Pop world. He has worked among others with Bjork, Lewis Taylor,&nbsp; 16B, Dina Carroll,&nbsp; Pedro Camillo, and Negu Gorriak.&nbsp; He currently teaches the first ever class in the UK for pianists to learn Latin Piano playing styles, at Goldsmith&#39;s College. </span></font></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><b><span lang="EN-GB">Moises Santos<span style="color:navy"> </span>/ Bass</span></b></font></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span lang="EN-GB">Born in Sao Paulo, Moises started playing guitar in a gospel band at the age of 15, but when the band s official bass player left, he assumed the post of bass player. Since then he adopted the bass as his instrument. Autodidact, Moises was soon playing with Vandre Nascimento, one of the best guitarists in the contemporary Brazilian musical scene, performing workshops in Sao Paulo music school Sousa Lima. Influenced by Victor Wooten, Arthur Maia, Nico Assumpcao and Jaco Pastorius, he developed his own style and was invited at the age of 21 to tour in the United Kingdom with a gospel band. The initial stay of one month has meanwhile been extended to 3 years, during which he has performed in clubs and events in London. </span></font></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial"><b><span lang="PT-BR"><font size="2"> Uira Nogueira</font></span></b><span lang="PT-BR"><font size="2"> / </font><b> <font size="2">Drums</font></b></span></font></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span lang="EN-GB">Uira Nogueira started playing drums when he was 9 years old in Salvador, Bahia. Uira holds a degree in Musical education from University of Bahia and has worked as a professional Drummer and percussionist with several well known Brazilian artists, such as Carlinhos Brown, Armandinho do Bandolim, Raimundo Sodre and Geronimo. He is currently continuing his studies in London at the Drum-Tech School.</span></font></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span lang="EN-GB">&nbsp;</span></font></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span lang="EN-GB"> If you think Brazilian music is only about bossa nova and samba then think again.
